In the following sentence why is him the word lui and not le?  I thought lui was usually used only with verbs that could be associated with à.  The example: “ “It’s necessary that I find him an original gift.”

according to another app I’m using the correct answer is: “ il faut que je lui trouve un cadeau original” and not “il faut que je le trouve un cadeau original”  I’m confused with this.  

would 'je peux recharger mes piles' be acceptable?

It’d be nice to have an example of what to do with the past participle of être verbs when using "on" when it means "we".  I can’t find this covered in either of the modules On : we.

I understand the literal meaning of this phrase but not really the sense of what she's saying.  Agreeing? disagreeing?

How would you write "Question of the Day"? For example, each day my french class starts with a "question of the day". I've been using jour but now I'm worried I've been incorrect.

Pour la phrase, "pendant que les adultes admireront..." j'ai dit, "tandiq que des adultes admireront..." Une correction j'ai recu etait "tandis que d'adultes admireront..." Vous pouvez expliquer pourquoi on dit d'adultes et pas des adultes?

It was marked wrong, but I think that should also be accepted? avoir du retard = to be late

p.s. is it less common to use avoir du retard than être en retard?
