"Un vraiment beau monument" is wrong, should read "un monument vraiment beau", yet I am led to believe that using a different subject "un très beau fille" is acceptable. If my example is correct can someone please explain. Thanks/Merci

As a simple Englishman, I translate that as passé simple which is clearly not what is meant

we use "soirée" in the sentence CETTE soirée s'est très bien passé which translates to "THAT EVENING" , even if we consider it to be a duration and not a point in time ,isn't there a rule that when we use demonstrative adjectives(this, that etc. ) we use quantity words like jour, an, soir etc.
