why is et elle adore les livres and not des livres? is't it loving just books and not some specific "definite" books?

Je suis désolé but I cannot make a complete sense out of the following sentence: que vous humecterez de vos lèvres avant de lui essuyer les joues. You make le mouchoir wet with your lips before wiping your cheeks? So, what’s she doing ? 

Hi. For Le Père Noël viendra..you accept only Santa will come..as the correct answer. Why not also Santa is coming and Santa is going to come as they all express future happenings in English ?

In lesson 2 of 10 in A1, on the quiz I was marked as incorrect when I included "He was not..."  as a translation for "On..."  They said that "we" and "you" were acceptable translations, but "he" was not.  I do not understand why not.    I watched the video & read the lesson, but it did not answer my question.

Should “J’entendais un monstre” translate to “I heard a monster“ as opposed to “I would hear a monster”?

I understand that une soirée indicates the duration of the evening, while un soir indicates the general time of day, but given this is a Level 1 quiz, is that not a bit advanced for this level? As far as I recall the only context given in Level one for "une soirée" was for an evening function or party. I was marked wrong for using choisissez rather than choisis, presumably because choisissez is too advanced for this level?

The final transcript and the bottom 'correct answer line' in the exercise still have '...qui émanaient de ce coin de m'ont accompagnéeS .....' instead of just "....m'ont accompagnée" - agreement with the speaker's gender.  The upper line 'best answer' indicated in the exercise is correct however. Cécile has answered a query on this previously. (I think I remember correctly what was presented in the exercise, but can't go back to recheck)

I must admit I often ignore 'agreement' like this when a text is in first person singular, and instead just use the 'agreement' that applies to me.

The problem I had with the question is that it did not indicate that TIME OF DAY was the topic. Strictly, this could be a question about a house or office number cruise liner cabin number or the answer to a mathematical question. I chose NOT to take the topic as being about the time of day because the question was too general to know what was the topic.
