When can we say "j'habite en..." instead? 

'Beaucoup de marques' gets the strike through for "many brands" - Larousse notes 'beaucoup de' as a synonym with 'de nombreux', and meaning 'many' (or a lot) in front of countable nouns.

Hi there,

I was wondering if someone could explain a little more in detail why we use the present tense in the following example:

"Depuis que je suis toute petite, tout ce qui est français me fascine."

I think I kind of get it for the fascination piece, but not the "since I was little".

I thought with occupations there was no article prior to the occupation. Je suis médecin, not je suis un medecin. Is this an exception?

Not entirely sure what this rule entails / under what circumstances it operates.

Why was this marked incorrect for "I am five minutes late" ?   According to the lecture, can use either "Je suis en retard"  (de 5 minutes) or  "J'ai (5 minutes) de retard"
