"Je vais commonder des pates" is given as the correct answer. Des is used with countable nouns. Pasta is countable?? I suppose in theory it is, but in practice it is not.
I understand why we use the definite article for one and possessive adjective for the other buy why are they both singular?
Sorry to add to an already long thread, but I have a feeling that when using "on" as informal "we" (rather than impersonal "one") I’ve seen "nous" used as the stress pronoun, not "soi". Is that right?

I don't have the best ears, but I do not hear beaucoup after t-shirt. I hear "au contre" instead.
When to use one of the other
Hello, I am wondering why to use "c´est" instead of "elle est" to translate "she is an angel". Doesn't "c´est" mean "it is", used to describe an object? Can you use "c´est" about a person and why is it better than simply saying "elle est"?
