Can you explain why 'surprise' doesn't have an acute accent on the 'e'?

In this context, can we say "...mon père et moi (nous) nous en allions en weekend ensemble." ?

And, if a "best-efforts translation" to English were possible, would "de" represent "late OF two hours", "late BY two hours", or "late SOME two hours"?

dont was whose earlier but know means of whom/which. i'm getting muddled even thogh ive just gone through lessons again. Can some one make it a little simpler please. Or just a different explaination

So in an earlier exercise, "I love swimming," you had a possible answer for fear of heights as "peur du vide" but not in this one.  Is there a reason why?

This isn't really related to the lesson itself, but in the little quiz under the lesson, for "Je l'aime bien qu'il soit un peu paresseux." the answer was "I love him although he's a bit lazy." (which I answered correctly so no questions on "bien que") but isn't "aimer bien" is closer to "like" than "love" as taught in your lesson about this verb? 

Hello. Why is it written de chansons and not des chansons? I was writing a translation of "write song lyrics". and it said the translation was "écrire des paroles de chansons." why is it de chansons and not des chansons?

Does Tout ce dont also have the same meanings - [everything that/ all that], or is there any additional meaning to it?? Please confirm. Also a few examples would be great.

'anything that' is also an additional meaning?

(of course that the context will differ with the inclusion of de in 'tout ce dont', than 'tout ce qui' and 'tout ce que')

I hear sept heures moins quart, not sept heures moins le quart. Which is it?
