Pourquoi pas Je soutiens son équipe? Car supporter apporte un sens négatif en français,je suppose?
While doing this exercise, it went right on to the next section without giving me the chance to compare my answer or give myself a score on two of the sections. Hence the score of 50 out of 60. No big deal, since this was a very simple lesson for me. (Although it was useful in learning and recognizing the names of brands of beer, even though I don't drink beer!) I just want to do all of the listening exercises for practice.
I simply wonder what might have happened.?
Can someone explain the structure of this phrase: "j'ai cru à une blague de mes amis"? I would've thought the translation would be more like, "J'ai cru que c'était une blague de mes amis".
One of the answers given I think was written with "que l'on" rather than "qu'on", i.e.
si vous ne voulez pas que l'on parte plus tôt.
Are both correct. If so can you please explain the use of l' . I don't understand why we would use l' here.
