Glitch in the scoring system

I am looking at my A2 score and it is 88.8%. I do a test and score a perfect 10. Immediately afterwards I recheck my score and it is 88.7%. This is not intuitive at all. How can I become less proficient after having a perfect test score???? -- Chris.

Hi Claus - sorry about that. We have been adding more content to A2 and your score is calculated relative to the whole level. So it doesn't mean you've done any worse, it's just the level has become a tiny bit larger...

Ah, OK. Thanks.

Well, it happened again just now, and I don't think you added any content to the level. The problem is that the system added a lesson to my lesson plan in which I had a lower score than in the other lessons already on my plan. So the problem seems to be that my level score is calculated only as an average of the lessons on my plan and not all the lessons in the level. -- Chris.

Hi Claus - it's a little more complex than that. What will happen is when a new lesson enters your studyplan that you've covered before, and if that lesson has changed ("grown") since you last tested against it, then you may get a fractionally lower score - temporarily - even if you get it right. I'm simplifying what actually happens for brevity, but don't worry, if you see a lower score after a 100% correct test just be assured, it's us improving content. The scores will go up again after another kwiz or so, don't worry!
