I came across these examples: 1)" L'hôtel est rue.."My understanding from this lesson is that 'est rue' can only be used with se promener.2) The 2nd question pertains to whether dans or sur can be used with location E.g." L'hôtel est sur la rue.../la place... Could you clarify please.
2) Tous, veulent nous interviewer
2nd question: Can 'they all have all of them (eg. books)' be translated as: 'Ils les ont tous tous'?
Thank you.
Si seulement nous tous étions aussi sages comme ce papa !
Is it always the case that one uses the present tense after depuis que rather than the imperfect and passé composé as in " Since I was small, I travelled a great deal"?
Could someone please enlighten me as why 'son' is used in this sentence. If the sentence was, 'We suffer from THEIR lack of attention', then, son is replaced by leur. What is the grammatical basis for this structure?
Would the following also be a correct translation?
J’ai dû me résigner à appeler un taxi
as an alternative to: -
il a fallu que je me résigne à appeler un taxi
Hi, just a note, in English we’d never say “Exams revisions”. We’d say “Exam revision”, even when referencing revision covering multiple exams.
You have two different lessons that both cover regions and states. One says to use "en/au/aux" and the other says "en/dans l'/dans le." (I'm simplifying just to point out where they differ -- there's more info than that, but other than that they don't clash.)
The article that includes "counties" in the title doesn't actually include any counties. The article that includes "countries" in the title does include counties.
So maddening. Both lessons need to be rewritten.
