Is this type of sentence structure formal? I am having difficulty in knowing which is formal and which is informal. When will a sentence like this be used? 

I would greatly appreciate if there was some sort of guide for this. Thanks!

It is not that I don't trust my French teacher but she gave us some homework and I am not sure I know which is the right construction when utilizing the correct pronouns and in which position within a sentence. The first one is this:

Elle a acheté un paquet de cigarettes pour son père.

For replacing " de cigarettes pour son père" with appropriate pronouns, could it be one or both that could be employed:

1. Elle a acheté pour lui.

or

2. Elle lui a achetè.

The second sentence drove me nuts because there are three verbs within this sentence thus I am not sure where to insert the pronoun:

Je me suis fait couper les cheveux.

1. Je me les suis fait couper, or

2. Je me suis les fait couper, or

3. Je me suis fait les couper?

Ce sujet est très difficile!

"Jpensé si on peux utiliser Nous vous avons les montre " 

Du coup,  en peux utiliser " Nous leur avons les montre "

In the phrase 'une sensation de liberté telle qu'elle n'en avait jamais ressenti' why is ressenti not feminine ?

(Also, does the 'en' stand for anything grammatical or is it idiomatic?)

do I have to use "pas" in this sentence or not?

The english translation seems same.

In the audio file for the sentence "Nous mourons tous un jour" in this lesson, the word "tous" has a silent s (IPA [tu]). Why is this? I understood that when "tous" is used as an indefinite pronoun to refer to a group of people like this, the s should be pronounced (IPA [tus]). Have I misunderstood something here? I would appreciate any help on this :)

I notice that "carte bancaire" was used here,  not "carte bleue" and carte bleue wasn't given as an acceptable answer. Is it falling out of use in France ?
