how can I pronounce "dont" correctly, I can't differentiate between it and "dans"?

I was surprised to see the adjective “diverses” come before the noun “organisations”. Am I right to find this unusual, or is there maybe a rule I’m not aware of?

Why doesn't the phrase, "I wondered", not agree with the speaker?  I wrote, "donc je me suis dite" but the text doesn't have the verb agree with the female speaker as it corrected me with, "donc je me suis dit".

Can someone please explain when to use "s'attendre à" versus "attendre" when talking about expecting?  Expecting someone to do something - I was thinking that first sentence might have been "Laissez-moi vous expliquer ce que l'on s'attend à vous" (using the verb "s'attendre à") for "Let me explain what we expect of you", but instead the construction is "... que l'on attend de vous", using "attendre" which I associated with waiting rather than expecting.

For example if you were to say 'I like carrots', can't you say j'aime des carottes as well as j'aime les carottes ?

Or do they mean different things?

Vous laissez tomber = You drop? Is that a valid alternative?

My questions are the same as Sally’s last two. I think that the English tense is misleading in the sentence to be translated. “As you don’t pay an entrance fee you are encouraged to give whatever you feel like to help with the upkeep of the museum” seems a more accurate translation for this sentence in English.

“I would really like that other countries could follow this example !” for the last sentence.

I am still confused as to why 'égal' is marked incorrect .. Can you explain when in your examples of the two sentences, deux plus deux égale/égal are used.
