Hello,
I have a question. My practice sentence is she cancels the trip. My answer was Elle annule la voyage but the correct answer is le voyage.
My question is why is voyage with a masculine ? When the ending is age which is feminine.
Thanks
Nicole
mais comme je prends froid facilement,
mais comme je prends facilement froid.
Both are correct.
Is there a difference between cafétéria and cantine? Can you use "cantine" here?
What does COD stand for in Tim's question, something like direct object?
This is perhaps a bit off topic since it isn't about the French grammar point at hand, but the tip regarding the English construction is inaccurate. It says "Whereas in English, you will need to use a subject pronoun after than (... than I (do), you (do), he/she (does)...)". I know there are people who think this is a real rule, but it isn't how anyone actually speaks, and many dictionaries (e.g. Meriam-Webster's) acknowledge the use of object pronouns here.
I have a question. In a writing execrise, it requires translate the sentence: My new school bag is blue and yellow. I understand it's a new brand school bag that hasn't be used before, so I wrote: Mon cartable neuf est bleu et jaune. But it marks wrong and the correct one is: Mon nouveau cartable est ...
Why is that and is my sentence correct?
