So am I to assume that all pasta dishes [spaghetti has come up in other exercises] are considered countable and thus the "des", while bread is uncountable and thus the "du"?
C'est la plus rapide voiture du monde.
C'est la voiture la plus rapide du monde.
I answered with the second one, and after much thought, not the first. I asked a french speaking friend and she said the first sounded odd and she would not use it, although she didn't think it was wrong. Can you provide some guidelines?

In the above examplers, it shows both "payeras" and "paieras" as being valid.
So why is "Je m'ennuierai à cette fête" considred correct, while "
Je m'ennuyerai à cette fête" was not?
Is it only "-ayer" verbs that allow the two alternatives?

J'ai décidé du faire. OR J'ai décidé de le faire. [I have decided to do it] ??
What is the rule related to this? Please share.
Wish could explain more how en dans du etc in the example is right for you.. some are obvious.. what if you do not know what is a region city province etc etc.. do not specifically show in beginner questions why exactly your example follows the rule. it is rudimentary boring for you.. else its back to having to memorize what is correct what is not. especially in the beginner examples. so frustrating.

In the first sentence. Can you use 'autant que possible' in this instance?
