My husband, who is French, is adamant that 'avoir' is not used with apparu. Is it that this is a regional usage (eg Quebec v France or even South of France v Paris where he's from)? Or is it just uncommon? Otherwise, like many a native speaker, he could simply be mistaken!
Avez-vous une bonne Hachis Parmentier recette? Patrice
do we always use depuis with the present tense? or can it be used with the past/future tense
If you translate 'the few savings she had left' as 'les maigres économies qui lui restaient' it is corrected to 'les maigres économies qui lui restait'. Is this a mistake?

Bonjour,
Comment faut-il dire "not again" si ce n'est pas "pas encore"?
Merci en avance!
Bonjour à tous!
Voici ma question: Que veut dire "tu te la racontes?"
Je sais que c'est une expression sarcastique...peut-être l'équivalent à "tu rêves" ou "tu veux rire?"
Pourriez-vous m'aider à la comprendre?
Merci en avance!
Jen
