How to respond to this question in negation ?
"Quelque chose te plait-il ?"
is it "Rien n'il me plait." ?
Mon père donne des cours à l'université. __________ prof de sciences.
I thought that il est and elle est are used for unmodified identification of profession, but in the previous sentence prof is modified with de sciences, so does il est work here. Also if we use c'est we would have to add un before prof, but in the exercise it says use c'est or il est\elle est ...etc. So I am confused.
I've noticed that 71 above has no hyphens: soixante et onze. So is it just the numbers 21,31,41,51,61 that do have hyphens? Or does 71 have hyphens just when there are higher numbers, e.g. 171?
Merci d'avance!
One of the things that continues to confuse me is when to use à , sur, dans when working with dates ( dans l’après midi - ) , sur La Canebière. Etc because sometimes they use au, à la and they are correcting me . Is there a lesson I can review to clarify this?
hi,
I was wondering how one can say my goal using the posessive adjectives?
Merci
Nicole
mine is the James se présente and
Entretien avec un vampireI thought that 'le présent' is used for the present and near future tenses, so why the answer of "Anne et Antoine se promènent avec leur chien." is only makert right to "Anne and Antoine are going for a walk with their dog." ?
Can't "Anne and Antoine are walking their dog." be correct as well?
I know that the question is related to the lesson but I wan't to know if that meaning is correct in the day-to-day use.
Good exercise, but it reminds me to ask, could we have more topics about the darker sides of life? I feel that because the exercises are very strongly weighted towards positive scenarios there’s a whole dimension of human experience that I’m not learning the vocabulary and phrases for. Thanks.
in this expression: Ça vous va
Why we use va with vous, isn't it should be allez with vous?
So, formally, il faut ranger ta chambre can also be written as il te faut ranger la/ta chambre, right?
