Pourquoi "par an" au lieu de "par année" ?

In the sentence 'au sein des communautés hindoue et sikhe' why are 'hindoue et sikhe' not in the plural form?

HI .. 

i am in A2 level with 80% score , dashboard shows recommend level is B1 but all the recommend lessons stay in A2 .. i don't want to manually jump to B1,  I am wondering when the B1 lesson will be added in.

The answer to the following question was question was fasses.

Il faut que ________ l'exercice.You must do the exercise.HINT: ¨tu¨ form
I answered "tu fasses de," and it was incorrect.Why is "faire de l'excecice" incorrect?

Mais quelle est sa nationalité

versus

Mais, qu'est-que c'est sa nationalité?

versus 

Mais, qu'est-qu'elle nationalité?

Hi, should hacher be spelt as hâcher? I did this exercise - https://kwiziq.learnfrenchwithalexa.com/my-languages/french/tests/results/11294497/system - and got it wrong.

Could I use the expression "tenir au courant" instead of "prevenir" for the following phrase

"Tu me teniras au courant s'ils arrivent en retard, d'accord"

Could "the next day" be translated as "le jour prochain"?  This wasn't one of the choices.
