What is the difference of "savoir" and "connaître"? They both mean "to know", right? When should I use which one?
Hi - I see from a previous discussion that the meaning of a verb (e.g. commencer à/ commencer de) can slightly change depending on whether it is followed by à or de. Is this also true for continuer à / continuer de?
Are there also slight differences in meanings with the verbs mentioned above?
Thanks - Tammy
Hello! In a question the correct answer was "vous répartissez les tâches." and not "répartez" that I wrote because I thought that this word comes from "partir" so they have the same conjugation. My question is: répartir is actually NOT a derivative form of the verb "partir" ? And if there's another word "repartir" (and what is its translation & meaning) without accent aigu that has the same conjugation as "partir". Thanks!
One of the tests has this question:
“Cette pomme est bonne.”
“Oui, c’est bon.”
And I fail to understand why “Oui, elle est bonne.” is wrong when we are clearly talking about a specific apple...?
Please advice which is correct and why?

is it 'Qui est-ce qui l'aime?' and 'Qui est-ce qu'elle aime?'
if so, can they be 'Qui l'aime?' and 'Qui elle aime?'
When to use a, au and chez?
I don’t see any rule offered as to when to use faire de or jouer à. In fact the samples provided include both, “Il fair du tennis” and “Il joue à tennis.” Is there a rule as to when to use one or the other?
This is given as an alternative. Does it have any meaning/use?
