2. Nous désirons acheter une voiture d'une marque anglaise 

The What are the rules of placing marque relative to voiture and anglaise? Why is there repetition of "une" in #2 to refer to each noun (voiture/marque), when there is no such repetition in #1? I was expecting to see "Nous désirons acheter une voiture de marque anglaise" (similar to the structure in #1). Thanks for your help! Rod

Why is She had eaten all the cake! wrong for Elle a mangé tout le gâteau!".. 

.. in English it is something that has happened.. an event and does not demand the plusvque parfait.

I find it seems to work to use que or qui if you could subsitiute the word 'that' and ce que or ce qui if you have to use 'which'. Any contrary examples?

How is this verb conjugated?  There is a phrase in the vocabulary lesson sent out today that contains the phrase:  Je regarde les bourgeons éclore...

This doesn't look like the normal conjugation for a -re verb.  Please advise!  Thank you.

Why "I would make to build" je ferais construire"  instead of "I would build" je construirais

I am wondering if two sentences below are correct. Please assist. I would appreciate your help.

1. Nous nous sommes brossés les cheveux.

2. Vous vous êtes rasés ce matin?

In a recent test, the answer required was "mes parent aimeraient ce qu'on se marie" and the response "'voudraient'' was not accepted. Aren't either regularly used to mean "'would like?" I think technically the former is would like and the latter is would want, but that seems pretty subtle. For example, in ordering food "'Je voudrais avoir  . . . .''

These are the examples given:

- parler : nous parlons (we are talking) -> je parlais

- finir : nous finissons (we are finishing) -> je finissais

- faire : nous faisons (we are doing) -> je faisais

- prendre : nous prenons (we are taking) -> je prenais

All the verbs have the same ending despite the subject. Perhaps I'm missing something
