In the sentence: Anne et Alain apprendront la cuisine le mois prochain, I’m confused why it’s la cuisine and not à cuisiner since the translation was: will learn how to cook. Can someone explain this? Thanks.
Why is "Nous avons seulement deux chambres" incorrect?
I understand why "Nous n'avons que deux chambres" is correct, but if I understood the lesson correctly then the option with seulement should simply be informal, but correct just the same.
so does pronouncing the s work like dix and six?
“Nous pensons que c'est une bonne idée.”
Why is ‘que’ used instead of ‘ce que’ if we’re referring to the entire statement ‘c’est une bonne idée’ and not a specific object?
I’m dying to know why!
Why is the pouvoir necessary in this sentence? I would translate it as : I am going to bring out my spring clothes. What does the "pouvoir" add to the sentence that I am missing? Thank you!
Hi, I would like to know which one is correct.
"il parle le français de mieux en mieux."
"il parle de mieux en mieux le français."
How can I use ni...ni to make this sentence negative: 'L'eleve a compris et a appris'?
Does it become 'l'eleve n'a ni compris ni appris'?
Thanks for any help
I keep messing up on the possession concept. The lesson covers possession using proper names, but does not mention rule for non-proper noun, example, the girl's pen (unless I missed something). The correct way is apparently the pen of the girl, le stylo de la fille, and not le stylo de fille. Can you add a note to the lesson to accentuate this, such as found on Lawless site, https://www.lawlessfrench.com/grammar/possessive-de/
Why is the plural "vos" used instead of votre? What part of this sentence is plural? I thought this was the formal "you" not plural
