The correct response was "vous". Why is "toi" incorrect?

In the phrase 'vous receviez des amis à déjeuner' is 'déjeuner' a verb or a noun?

Allez-vous commander la salade?

Non je ne vais pas la commander or je ne la vais pas commader.

Greetings! The translation of "des aromes de fumier" above says "smoky aromas," but I'm seeing in the dictionary that the meaning of "fumier" is "manure." Is the translation above mistaken?

For the "Je ne regarde pas non plus le télé" vs. "Je ne regarde pas le télé non plus", does one mean "I [like you] also don't watch tv" and the other mean "I don't watch tv either [in addition to another activity]"?

Why is the male version of tiers used for a female word: une bouteille

Why isn't it: J'ai bu un tierce de la bouteille.

J'ai bu un tiers de la bouteille.

The lesson states: A) If it/he/she is is followed by un/une/le/la... (any form of article / determinant) - it is a beautiful dress / she is a nice person - then you will use c'est.

Now not being a native french speaker, and still very much a student, it still feels wrong to use “c’est” here, as so the lesson also states: B) il est/elle est for statements and opinions related to specific things

I was taking a quiz involving 'dans' and this was the sentence:  

Lucien est dans l'avion pour Paris.

Why is is not "à Paris?"  Sorry, it doesn't really relate to 'dans.'
