I know this is a grammar issue, but I need help.

in the phrase “an endless adventure she couldn’t resist” is translated to

”une aventure sans fin à laquelle elle ne pouvait pas résister”.

Why is “qui” wrong (my answer) and “à laquelle” correct?

This is how clueless I am.  At reading the sentence about the missing ring I wondered at first;  "Did he steal a ring from her?"  It took this 61 year-old a minute to grasp that he took the ring in order to get her ring-size!  (I must admit, I would never have thought of that!)  Gary 

In the examples given, 

C'est pratique, les ciseaux. 

There is an adverb and a noun. Why would this not be ce sont? is les ciseaux similar to par of jeans? Where it is plural but acts singular? If this is so it is a slightly confusing example. Thank you. 

For example, « We will arrive on tuesday, and we’ll leave the following day »

I know we can use « le jour prochain » and « le jour dernier », but is  « le jour suivant/précédent » or « le lendemain/ la veille » also allowed?
