in this expression: Ça vous va 

Why we use va with vous, isn't it should be allez with vous?

Context and interpretation is not being considered in My answers... Why? 

I ask this because I would like to know if They want Direct Translations or do They want to Same Essence of what is being said?

I was wondering. My friend had asked me a question How is your room? Would I still use elle est since it is specific when i respond to her?

My dictionary offers both as a translation of teaspoon.  Only the latter was accepted in this exercise.  Is there a distinction?   In English, a teaspoon is a smaller spoon, i.e. smaller than a tablespoon, used to eat with or to stir something.  A teaspoon is also a unit of measurement.  We use the same word for both.  What about French ?  Is there a difference between petite cuillère and cuillère à café ? 

Bit of clarification please:-

- Isn't 'I pass by the new coffee shop' better translated by 'passe par' ? The exercise on Passer  gives -Passer par / devant ...   (to pass by / in front of...)

- does not 'J'aime' mean 'I love' and wouldn't 'J'aime bien 'I like' be better in this instance? (the excercise on Aimer says 'Note that when using aimer bien, it actually lessens its meaning from 'to love' to 'to like' [someone] / [something].'

This question was asked in a TV show I watched today: “…mais est-ce que lui voudra te voir?” My question is why is lui used instead of il?

I'm perplexed. My answer to a quiz was marked wrong when I translated "by tonight" as "d'ici soir". Apparently it should be d'ici ce soir. But by tomorrow is "d'ici demain". Could you please explain the difference because the lesson doesn't address this. Thanks.

Les étudiants étaient accueillis par le directeur. 

The latter translation is correct yet the C1 Test marked it worng?
