what is the difference between annee and an? ive only heard of/used annee before

Are these terms interchangeable?

Does Ne ... pas + Passé composé + depuis longtemps =

a)Tu ne fumes pas depuis longtemps. 

b)Tu n'as pas fumé depuis longtemps

Why is it "là" instead of "ici"?

What is the function of 'ensuite' in this sentence? It doesn't seem to appear in the translation ' we then rested for a few hours'. Perhaps it should be 'we then rested together for a few hours.'?

Wow! Thank you for this lesson. It has been a subject that has been somewhat confusing to me and I really needed this. I will have to reread and practice though to increase my understanding, and to reinforce my confidence. 

The adjective, vintage, does not agree with its plural noun, vêtements.   Is it invariant and is this so because it is a word borrowed from English ?   If so, is this the case with other borrowed adjectives, for example super?  Thanks for the informative story about Lille.
