"Je suis arrivée 10 minutes en avance" seems to be common in Montreal, QC, Canada. Is this incorrect?

Hi Connie,
It is correct you can say both:
Je suis arrivé(e) avec dix minutes d'avance.
ou bien
Je suis arrivé(e) dix minutes en avance.
