I couldn't tell the difference among 'Je suis allé '(mas) et 'je suis allée'(fem) ou 'nous sommes allés' et 'nous sommes allées' from the audio. In everyday speech, is there any change in pronunciation?
It's more obvious when we're talking about a positive sentence like:
l'un et l'autre viendront => both are coming => plural.l'un ou l'autre viendra => only one is coming => singular.
But when it is negative:
ni l'un ni l'autre = pas l'un et pas l'autre => so it can be plural no?
Multiple sources suggest both singular and plural verb forms are possible for ni l'un ni l'autre:

Hello,
When someone asks you if you can swim or you can cook how can you determine whether to use the verb pouvoir or connaitre vs savoir?
I have not learned about the last two verbs just yet as it is in A2 but I am familiar with them but very confused.
Can you help me?
Thanks
Nicole
Can someone please explain the use of 'se doit' in the following sentence which conveys the meaning "ought to":
"qui se doit d'être à la fois élégant et extraordinaire"
I can't find any reference anywhere to devoir in the pronominal form....or am I totally on the wrong track here with 'devoir' ?
I just tried twice to complete a test on lui & leur. All the alternatives in the drop-down list appeared in English, not French. What's going on? The corrections were all in French!!
My French friend says it should be "claustrophobe"? Is that right? Please help clarify.
Why is it "Nous faisons des progrès" instead of "le progrès?
Que dire de la neige qui est ------ ?
