Salut! In the last sentence I had written “ensuite” instead of puis but this is marked incorrect. I thought they were interchangeable? Please can you tell me the difference?

Why the answer to "Qui est cette fille?" is " C'est Marie" instead of "Elle est Marie"?

Since 'cette fille' is referring to a specified girl, as explained in case 2b, shouldn't we use 'elle est'?

Does habiter need a prepositionIn my book 501 French verbs it teaches that the verb habiter doesn't require a preposition so, J'habite cette maison, is acceptable.

Is "J'habite à [city] an exception? Is "J'habite [city]" acceptable?
