Why is it 'je venais'  when she is saying 'I was calling' rather than using appeler e.g. J'appelais simplement...'?

Apologies if this topic has been already been covered, I searched a ways down the thread but didn't see anything relevant.

If a discussion exists, I will gladly accept a posted link.

So, in short, outside of familiarizing myself with "bien que" through rote memorization, I struggle to hear "good that". Is there a separate definition or etymology of the word "bien" that would explain how it came to be used in the sense of "even though"?

can you explain clearly in what situation they must be used?

 Is "T'ai-je déjà envoyé cet article" correct? Wouldn't hurt to be sure the adverb is also usually before the non-declined part of the verb ; ).

would translate as: mes mains were not stopping trembling. I get very confused over this particular usage. Most of the use of imparfait that I get wrong are due to this rule. Could you explain it better?
