In this lesson on “venir de “ , you use the following as example 8:
Je suis de La Rochelle
I'm from La Rochelle
Why is it “Je suis de” instead of “Je viens de”?
The group à + [people] becomes simply their matching indirect pronoun, as follows:
Don’t certain verbs require a tonic (stress) pronoun after à, rather than the indirect object pronoun before the verb ?
For example - "Je pense à vous" "Tu dois faire attention à lui"
Why is "que" used in the sentence above rather than "ce que", despite "vous allez très bien" seems much like a fact(though it is a wish)?
Why prèsent is used after pendant que why not futur as per lesson we should use futur after pendant que and quand
"Excellent" was shown before and after the "journée" in the corrected answers.
"Délicieuse" was before"bûche."
Please explain this placement.
I am still confused about whether should I use Des or Les
Je veux des bonbons
Je veux les bonbons
Why the second sentence wouldn't be correct?
When comparing my answer with Kwizbot's (around Question 9):
Kwizbot: Ajoutez-y quelques CUILLERS de crème
Me: Ajoutez y quelques CUILLÈRES de crème
Kwizbot spells cuillères correctly in the answer box but incorrectly in the comparison box.
Hope this makes sense
