pourquoi est incroyable devant la vue
quand il était bébé -why is there no article before baby.?
So instead of using Je I have to use J'ai ? Am I understanding this correctly?
Je ne partirai pas d'ici à moins que nous ne décidions où nous allions/irons?
Ou peut-être:
Je ne paritrai pas d'ici à moins que nous ne décidions où aller?
Why was this marked incorrect for "I am five minutes late" ? According to the lecture, can use either "Je suis en retard" (de 5 minutes) or "J'ai (5 minutes) de retard"
I really don't understand why this can't be translated as "Whom does she see?" It was marked wrong yet it seems to be following all the rules. I'm confused and would appreciate an answer.
Hi, to say “I must” is there a difference between when one would use ‘Il faut que je …” instead of “je dois”? Or are they equivalent? (I believe devoir is simply followed by an infinitive rather than by the subjunctive with falloir, so it’s simpler to use!) Thanks.
Verbs in -AYER, in spoken French (included written dialogue in a play for example) also accept an alternative version where the y is kept (and also pronounced differently)
How do we know which verbs accept the alternative version?
J'ajouterais Agnès Varda et Chantal Akerman à cette liste. Je pense qu'elles sont Belges mais elles encore sont formidables. Catherine Breillat est provocatrice mais ses films sont souvent excellents.
