Is it correct to also say “puis elle a repris a lire” ?  “Then she resumed her reading” . Sorry, can’t type accents.

I am somewhat confused by one of your examples "Je suis assis entre Léa et Tim." The point of the exercise is not lost on me you are using the sentence to demonstrate the use of "entre". What puzzles me is the use of "je suis assis" which combines the present tense of etre "je suis" with the simple past of to sit "assoier". I'm obviously missing something obvious but it totally confuses me. I thought you had suggested that "I am sitting" and "I sit" can be  expressed by the same construction, the meaning altered by context; so why not "J'assieds entre Léa et Tim"?

Why do we not use rencontrer in the second sentence instead of se rejoindre? In what context do we use rencontrer? 

"You have been very lucky that day", "Did you have my message?", and "I had three presents for my birthday", are literal translations from the French - they are NOT English.  "You were very lucky that day", "Did you get (receive) my message?", and "I got (received) three presents for my birthday", would be correct English versions of those sentences.  This might be of concern to non-native English speakers who are using this program to learn French.  It seems to me that it would be best to learn to use BOTH languages correctly.

I do not understand this one.  Rendre means "to return"? so this means "You returned to visit Paula" but it states "You visited Paula".

Hello, how come I can't do any tests on the free package? Clicking on tests always leads me to the upgrade page. I thought we get 10 free tests/kwizzes per month. My paid subscription expired on 11 august and I havent used  kwiziq since before that date. Thanks
