Why the word 'baldaquin' is in its plural form?

I looked up in the dictionary, but I could only find the phrase 'un lit à baldaquin', without an 's'.

Would it be correct to think of the Future Antérieur as a kind of other way of saying the Conditionnel Futur?

It seems like a conditionnel statement of the future?

1) Could you please explain why 'papier' is pronounced with an 's' as it sounds like 'papSier'.

2) 'avec les mains et les pieds',   To my ear 'pieds' sounds like 'lipsé' ... any help with understanding this pronunciation would be appreciated.

I wrote: Mes potes n'iront pas célébrer la nouvelle année.

Correct answer: Mes potes ne vont pas célébrer la nouvelle année.

If 'vont' is Le Présent and 'iront' is Le Futur, then why would my answer be incorrect?

The question is: He'd like you to know he loves you.

The answer given is:

Il voudrait que tu saches qu'il t'aime.

Is the 3rd verb (aimer) in the indicative or subjunctive tense.

Example

We’d like you to know that we love you

Nous voudrions que vous sachiez que nous vous aimons / que nous vous aimions

The translation of "We know that you worked hard to get there..." = "Nous savons que tu as travaillé dur pour en arriver là" 

Is it also possible to say "pour y arriver"? Why "en" if the verb is "arriver à"?
