The 1st sentence in this fill-in-the-blank quiz was " Laissez-moi vous raconter ce qu'il nous........" Translated as, "Let me tell you what happened to us! My response was conjugated to Nous, and so, "sommes arrivés" was incorrect.  Should I have conjugated the answer with moi, the subject of the verb? The correct answer was "est arrivé" . Could you please explain why IL became the subject?    Thanks.

Why Lève-toi and not lèves-toi.  All others follow the norm i.e. Levez-toi or Levons-toi.  es is the correct ending for tu.

In the exercise on passé composé vs imparfait, I am stuck on the last line . 

It reads - “Elle a souri et elle a dit qu’elle nous pardonnait . Nous n’avons jamais oublié cette leçon.” 

Here , why does ‘pardonner’ take imparfait and not passé composé ?

Also why does ‘oublier’ take passé composé and not imparfait ?

Please give the grammatical reasons for the same.

For example: "Marie achète du café"

Le café is a location and a drink.

Couldn't this sentence means both "Marie buys a coffee" and "Marie buys from the cafe"?

How do we know when "de" refers to "from" and when it refers to "some"?
