He must not lose his keys. Are both the following acceptable? il faut qu'il ne perde pas ses clés? et il ne faut pas qu'il perde ses clés?
I thought "meilleure" meant "best" rather than "better," which is the meaning it's given in the chart. In the sample sentence "Le meilleur élève..." is said to mean "The best pupil..." So again, why in the chart is it said to mean better rather than best, as in the sentence? Thanks in advance.
Les marrons are sweet chestnuts; horse chestnuts, popularly known as conkers, are marrons d'Inde. They are of a similar appearance but from different trees. Also, I wouldn't recommend eating horse chestnuts.
Is this translation a mistake? It says this means to sunbathe, but the dictionary says it is to sugarcoat...? Merci!
