Which one do you think is better to use. You mention that one is more clunky, can you tell me which one is better ?
Je suis en classe - I'm in class
Je suis dans la classe - I'm in the classroom
... I actually don't see the difference between 'classe' in both sentences
in my understanding both sentences could mean I'm in class or I'm in the classroom
