Salut t'as l'air "sympa" toi. Salut t'as l'air "sympa" toi. Hi. What is the meaning of this phrase. Especially the end toi.I know the actual french translation but this seems a bit colloquial.

Le mot "vissent"Je ne comprends pas le mot "vissent" dans la phrase "Nous avions dû nettoyer la maison avant que mes parents ne vissent le désordre." Je pensais que ce serait le subjonctif du verbe "voir" mais je l'ai trouvé sous le mot "visser".

Difference between "On y va!" and "Allons-y!"I answered "On y va!" and it was marked wrong. I wonder what the difference between "on y va" and "allons-y" really is... Thanks, -- Chris.

How to specify what something is made from/ofAs I understand it, a wooden plank is "une planche DE bois" because it is made entierly from wood, while a tomato soup is "une soupe À LA tomate" because it has other ingredients as well. But in the most recent writing challenge we had "et comme plat principal, j’aimerais la salade DE chèvre chaud". Surely, a salad has several ingredients, so why is it not ".. salade AU chèvre chaud" ?
