Not really related to the lesson at hand, but in the example, isn’t besoin supposed to be followed by de?

Should this prompt be "tradition has it that he or she be crowned king or queen for the day!"?
I was marked wrong for typing the latter response. Is this because the subject (nous) does not change? Therefore the second part of the sentence must remain in the infinitive?

The phrase in English was "I will introduce her to Amelie" (sorry I don't have accents). The translation given is je lui presenterai Amelie which I take to mean "I will introduce Amelie to her". Should it not be "je la presenterai a Amelie"?
