Why is the phrase "notre prof de science nous demandait de préparer ..." in imparfait not passé composé? Since the requests occurred at specific points in time I thought it would be passé composé. Is it because the requests were repeated each year?
As I know we use "en" to replace a noun that follows number/quantity such as un(e), deux, un peu de etc.. so in this case it means that I can use "en" to replace ANY noun including "idée, histoire, conseil, chance" etc but only with any indefinite article, right? And in examples like "je vais vous donner une idee" "il raconte une histoire à mon ami" these nouns can be also replaced with "en", right? or not? why? I passed several tests where these nouns were replaced with COD(le,la,les) and I really can't understand why.. can someone explain it to me, please?
Is it acceptable to say ' Celui qui trouve la fève' instead of 'Quiconque trouve...'?
My biggest mistakes at this simple point in A1 are because I don't know the word as opposed to missing the grammar rules (parce que, par, oeuvres, etc.). When I make mistakes the lessons recommended are almost always about the grammar -- are there lessons or suggestions for picking up more vocabulary? (although I'm suspecting that just doing exercises is the best way to get exposed to more words :-) )
As I understand it, dans can also be used when the sentence implies a future action but not duration?
Can one say 'avec qui' in this case also?
why is it 'elle faisait son jogging' and not 'elle faisait DU jogging' ?
Claire n’a vendu aucun livre au vide-grenier. Please explain why « aucun » is after the past participial and not after n’a aucun vendu? Merci
