It was in another new year exercise but not this one. Why not?

Hello All.

I was reviewing pronouns using this page:

It mentions using the adverbial pronoun "y" and then gives an example:

I thought that "y" could only be used to reference an inanimate object, not a person.

Are there special cases? What am I missing here?

Why doesn’t the past participle take an extra ‘s’ with ‘nous’. Isn’t there more than one person, like ‘ils’? 

why for past we use -  j'avais du mal 

But future we don't use - j'aurai du mal 

and uses - je vais avoir du mal ?

The lesson that drew me here said the correct answer was in the imparfait.  Ils ne habitaient plus ici but the examples in the lesson do not transition from the present to the imparfait. What makes the difference?

I am understanding the usage of the reflexive verbs as well as reciprocal but I had saw something about passive pronominals would that be something for A2 I had seen it somewhere and now I can't seem to find it.

I was wondering what is the easiest way to know when something is in the 12 hour clock or when something is in the 24 hour clock? This seems to be my most problem in this section of understanding.
