là-dedans

Bonjour!

in the example “ça ne sent pas la rose là-dedans” is translated as “it smells nasty in here”.  Formerly I had understood “là-dedans” to mean in there.  Is it both or am I just wrong.  Sorry, I know this is getting off on a bit of a bunny trail...

question on toi & moiWhy is the answer toi & moi and not nous as the rest of the sentence is avons compris la meme chose. I thought only nous went with avons?

I’m having trouble figuring out why it’s je me fais FAIRE de nouvelles sandales. In other similar constructions, il se fait couper les cheveux, FAIRE isn’t necessary yet the meaning is similar in that they both are having something done. What am I missing?

Placement of verbIn the examples, 'dire' goes after the two negations while 'faire' and 'aller' goes before them. What's the rule here?

Participle form for "vous", and for "elles"Vous can mean one person (polite ? ) form, or more than one person. So "vous (Gareth) êtes resté à la maison"; vous (Laura) êtes restée à la maison" and "vous (Laura and Aurélie) êtes restées à la maison" ? I'm making my best guesses here. Vous is not included in the lesson. And elles is not included in the lesson either. "Elles êtes restées à la maison"? Whether my versions are correct or not, lesson might be improved by adding examples with vous and elles. Thanks as ever.
