Why did the quiz ask only one question, yet the results show 2 questions, one unanswered?

To second what Syliva said three years ago, statements like "La vie, c'est dure" should be counted as correct on a quiz, not just "La vie est dure."

If a tangerine is "une mandarine" in French, as per this lesson, what is a mandarin in French? Is it "une tangerine"? (which would be quite confusing to English speakers)
I understand that the choice of verb has to do with how fast you are running. As a former runner, I don't see a great difference between trotting and jogging. My dictionary gave trottiner as a possibility for jog. Should it have been acceptable?
Above is the referenced quiz question, to which I answered 'you cannot say'. However, the results indicate correct answer is 'a woman'. This is incorrect. Since "ami" start with a voul, you must use "son" whether the subject is masculine or feminine, therefor, you cannot tell is Sylvie's friend is a man or a woman.
Est-ce qu'on utilise "À partir du premier jour des vacances..." au lieu de "Dès le premier jour des vacances..." dans ce contexte ? Si non, pourquoi ?
