When does connaitre use etre in the passe compose?
This question relates to:French lesson "Conjugate paraître/connaître and derivatives (+ avoir) - except apparaître and naître - in the compound past in French (Le Passé Composé)"

Hi Jack,
It doesn’t ....maybe you are thinking of ‘être connu’ , which means ‘to be known’? But it is not a past tense....
