Se réunir vs se rejoindre, emmener DANS vs emmener à

Can you say "on avait décidé de se réunir après le travail"?Also, why is it "emmené dans un bar" instead of "emmené à un bar"?

The options given for 'to meet up somewhere' are 'se retrouver' and 'se rejoindre'. 
The verb 'se réunir' is more 'to get together'  than to arrange to meet up. It is used in church for instance. 
As for the bar, we do say - emmener dans un endroit 
Il m'a emmené dans un bar, dans un restaurant, dans un hôtel etc.

Hi G,I'm thinking best you wait for input from a staff expert.What occurs to me in the meantime is that both se rejoindre and se réunir are to an extent synonymous but with se réunir being less formal than se rejoindre taking a sense of "appointment" rather than a casual meeting which is inferred by the text of the lesson. In this sense, I see your proposal as reasonable.  With regards to emmener as a transitive verb. Here I'm puzzled by the verb in your query being followed by a preposition in each case?Looking forward to seeing what a staff expert can offer?Bonne journéeJim
