Question abt grammar

Is it correct? "J'ai faim parce que je ne mange pas le déjeuner"

This question relates to:French lesson "Avoir faim/soif = To be hungry/thirsty (French Expressions with avoir)"

Hi Hà Thu,

Chris is right your sentence doesn't make any sense unless 'avoir faim' is the result of something which happened in the past or happens on a regular basis like -

J'ai toujours faim parce que je ne mange jamais rien pour le déjeuner = I am always hungry because I never have any lunch

If you want to say: I am hungry because I didn't have lunch, I would translate it like this:

J'ai faim parce que je n'ai rien mangé pour le déjeuner.

But there are several other options as well.
