Mon aussi

Mon aussi

Why is it I very occasionally see “mon aussi” appear as a correct translation of "me too" as well as "moi aussi”?

Even Google Translate has this marked with a tick and I must say it does ring a bell from learning French in School years ago. Does it have anything to do with two vowels appearing next to each other of "moi aussi”?

Thanks for any help.

Hi Andy,

Moi aussi is the correct one here...

Hi Andy,

in my (limited) experience I haven't come across "mon aussi". I'll ask the two native speakers I am in touch with and see what they have to say about this.

Accordig to them, "mon aussi" is incorrect.

Thanks Chris.

I think I've seen it appear a few times in literature too, so there's chance it's a really old holdover. So so curious!

If you've seen it online I would guess it's an OCR error when the book was scanned in.

I was under no doubt which one was correct. I was curious why it is I very occasionally see “mon aussi” appear as a correct translation of "me too" as well.
