Dégoûtant, n’est pas?
Hi Olasimbo,
In this context,
dégoûtant n'est-ce pas? = disgusting isn't it?
is a general comment,
could have been :
C'est dégoutant != It's disgusting!
in this case, we always use the masculine.
I haven't done this quiz, so not sure what the actual phrase was - (C'est) Dégoutant, n'est-ce pas ? or (C'est) Dégoutant, non ? «Dégoutant, n'est pas» - if that was a suggested answer- would be very informal and still mean «n'est-ce pas». Disgusting is referring generally to 'it', rather than just «la peau». For this to be referring just to the skin itself, would require clarification - «elle est dégoutante» would be ambiguous, as «elle» could be the skin or Rachel in this context - «La peau est dégoutante, n'est-ce pas».
