But what is the Futur Anterieur tense?

Hi Jack,
The futur antérieur is the future perfect in English.
It describes an action in the future which is planned to happen before another time reference in the future.
There are some examples in the Q&A section of this lesson.
Hi Cécile,
Yet by your very explanation, "they will have been happy together" does not make sense at all. Are they planning to be together or they wanted to be together but could not and hence their happiness was forfeighted? Do you see where the confusion is coming in? If it is a future action, in English it sounds like something is going to prevent it from taking place.
