Bonjour Shrey !

Here it's because "A Nightmare on Elm Street" is a 1984 American horror film, and as you probably know, most movie and book titles are translated in French, and not often literally :)

This film's French title is "Les Griffes de la Nuit" (i.e. The Claws of the Night) :)

Bonne journée !

Bonjour Madame Aurélie ! Thanks for enlightening me that the titles are not literally transcribed in French. Indeed, the French titles are enough to provide a vivid description in a few words . Merci encore et Bonne journée !
