A vs À when stating at a particular time.

I know it is only correct to say Je vain manger à huit heures. However, in response to À quelle heure ?,  I've seen the phrase At nine o'clock written as both À neuf heures and A neuf heures. Are both A and À correct to use in this instance?

Hi Michel,

The general consensus is that you should use the accent on a capital letter (which can be tricky on your PC!) unless it is an acronym.

Hope this helps!

Bonjour Michael,

"Je vais manger à huit heures"

What is required above is the preposition à (at) therefore "at what (which) hour"

À + [heure] = At + [time] in French?

Question format only (Starting a sentence)

Bonne continuation.
