Just an English correction - in "Anne never play basketball"  it should be plays or played.

What is customary for writing out numbers? Is it common to write "6" ans but not 8h30?

I got the following question wrong because I didn't know what 'South America' was in French. Clicking on the 'Learn and Discuss' button lead me to this lesson, where South America is not mentioned. In fact, the 2 links presented in this lesson for learning more also don't contain a list of continents. It's only in the 2nd link of this lesson (En/au/aux = In/to with countries and continents (French Prepositions)), that it mentions South America in an example, rather than as part of the main lesson. Perhaps this lesson should contain a list of continents if it's going to be linked to by the below question:

Is the best way to understand this construction in the context of this lesson to think of the sentence in English as "If Joseph could come, it would be great"? An example of this reversed structure would be good in the lesson.

How would you say this in first person singular?

Je m’intéresse au sport. Je m’y intéresse. Is this correct?

why is 2h preferable to 2heures? writing the word got me marked as nearly correct

"Jacques est descendu du haricot magique." was translated to: "Jack got off the magic beanstalk." I answered, "Jack climbed down the beanstalk" and it was marked wrong. Larousse clearly states that "descendre de" (using etre as the auxiliary verb) means "climb or climb down". Hence, my confusion.

How come 'croire ses yeux' but 'faire les ongles'?  I thought that it should be 'croire les yeux' as possessive pronouns should not be used for parts of the body.
