Salut,

For the sentence "et les jeudi et vendredi, j'avais mes cours de danse moderne," my "et" is being red-lined and replaced with the English "and" in blue. Not sure if others are experiencing the same problem. Kinda threw me for a loop. Haha.

Why is italienne not capitalized in the phrase "de la Renaissance italienne?"  Also, why is the article "le" not used in the first mention "de Florence en Italie", but is used in "ses carnets duvoyage sure l'Italie" ?  Has "medicine" gone out of usage for the designation of medical doctor and has "docteur" supplanted it?  "Docteur" is applicable to non-physicians (e.g., those with PhD's) and is there another designation for them?  Thanks.

In this sentence, I'm thinking that in English, there would be parallel construction between "en assistant" and "en discuter." We would say "in attending" and "discussing," but I'm noticing that in French, "discuter" is the infinitive form of the verb rather than the gerund (as in "assistant"). Are the verb forms that were chosen in French optional? And in French, is the lack of parallel construction perfectly acceptable? Could this sentence have also used:

 both "en assistant" and "en discutant"  as the verb forms

OR both "en assister" and "en discuter?"

Why is it sometimes « ne pas de » plus infinitive, « ne pas a » plus infinitive, or in other examples simply « ne pas »  plus infinitive?  Can someone explain the reason for the use of de or a, or their omission?  Thank you.

This struck me as more difficult than many B2 exercises. I wonder if others felt the same. 

I'm wondering if A2 exercises will also incorporate A1 lessons or if everything is self contained? I skipped a lot of A1 exercises because I was about 40% into A2 prior to starting and wanted to finish the level. 

Will I have to go back and complete A1 exercises in order to test myself of that criteria, or would it be included in A2 exercises? I just don't want to forget some random A1 lesson because I never see it again, especially as I start moving into higher levels.

1. In the numbers test, quatre-cent-cinq was a correct answer. We don't use cinque for numbers above 100?

2. In the lesson you have deux-cents (with a hyphen), and cinq cents (no hphen). Is cinq cents an exception to the hyphenation rule?
